Dunwoody Village, also know as “Downtown Dunwoody” is the location of the The Cheek-Spruill Farmhouse.  Built in 1907, the Farmhouse now serves as the Dunwoody Town Hall and is listed in the national register of historic properties. Serving as the headquarters for both the Dunwoody Preservation Trust and the Dunwoody Homeowners Association, it is a source of pride for the community.

The Dunwoody Homeowners Association is widely regarded as one of the most powerful associations of its kind in the United States. It traces its origins back to when large scale residential development in North Atlanta was just beginning. The upscale community now looks to the DHA to ensure their quality of life and protect their real estate investment.

Dunwoody is home to Perimeter Mall featuring 200 stores including Macy’s Bloomingdales, Dillard’s and Nordstroms. The Mall houses an upscale Food Court and a number of fine restaurants including Maggiano's Little Italy and The  Cheesecake Factory.

The Dunwoody Campus of the Georgia Perimeter College is located in the Tilly Mill neighborhood of Dunwoody along with the Marcus Jewish Community Center which offers a full fitness facility and many cultural activities.
